KKrafts is a small studio pottery I run from my home in the Mill village of Hilden in Northern Ireland.
Each piece is handmade by me, Karen McComiskey, from bags of clay and a wild imagination. I make a wide variety of pieces including vases of varying sizes, clocks, dishes, bowels, mugs, cups, pictures and many, many, more!

I started my pottery journey in 1997 and I have been learning ever since. I started playing with clay as a hobby which developed into a passion and slowly into a business.
I work from my home studio in Hilden, Northern Ireland and I sell out of St. Georges Market in Belfast every Saturday and Sunday. I use locally sources clay and mix some of my own glazes. All my pieces are designed, handmade and decorated by me. This makes each creation unique. My inspiration comes from my dreams and the world around me so it is both imaginative and practical.
Situated on the edge of East Bridge Street, the market is one of the oldest attractions in Belfast.
St George’s Market was built between 1890 and 1896. The market has won local and national titles and awards for its fresh, local produce and great atmosphere. It was named the UK’s Best Large Indoor Market 2023 by the NABMA Great British Market Awards. St George’s Market is open Friday to Sunday, with its live music and an electric atmosphere, it’s a good weekend destination.
